In the auto industry, it can be pretty easy to generate controversy by stepping outside the box and developing a unique design strategy. The Jeep brand took this risk when unveiling the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which resulted in some strong reactions both positive and negative.

After the beloved Cherokee model was phased out in 2001, the automaker finally decided to bring it back, only this time with an entirely new appearance. Rather than preserving the sharp edges and front fascia design that the model was known for, the all-new 2014 model features smoother features and unique headlights that give it a modernized and sporty appearance.

During its first unveiling earlier this year, fans weren't quite sure what to think of its aggressive design style and unique grille. In response to the controversy that was caused, the brand's parent company Chrysler simply stated that they are happy to be promoting so much conversation among Jeep fans. After all, it's better to be talked about a lot than to not be talked about at all.

Despite generating a diverse array of reactions in regards to design, the new Cherokee as a lot to offer the competitive compact SUV segment. It is versatile, spacious, and also offers drivers great fuel efficiency. Most importantly, this vehicle will definitely turn some heads while out on the roads in the greater Midland, TX area.

We'd love to hear what your thoughts are on the new model, so we encourage you to come share them with all of us here at All American Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Midland.
