Each week Motor Trend produces an internet show called Roadkill, that features some pretty interesting old cars that have been stumbled upon. Many would consider these vehicles to be roadkill, the origin of the show's name, but sometimes it's fun to see what they discover. On a recent episode, the show's hosts Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger bring us two exciting classic models. Let's take a closer look at the details.
Straying from their normal routine of buying shabby looking models, the hosts branch out and find themselves with a 1970 Dodge Super Bee and a 1967 Chevy Camaro. Their plan was to drive them from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City, where they would then enjoy some drag racing at the infamous Midnight Drags at the Rocky Mountain Raceway.
How did this journey end up? Heat proved to be quite a limiting factor for the two classic models. While both vehicles, which are owned by Freiburger himself, sport impressive engines, the trip was not an easy one. The black and orange painted Super Bee for example sports a HEMI V-8 capable of producing 675 horsepower. You can definitely hear this car coming when it produces its powerful roar.
In the end, the two classic models and their drivers survive the journey. As for the outcome of the drag races, we can't give away the results.
