How do you keep power and luxury while improving fuel economy and decreasing CO2 emissions? Chrysler's Stop-and-Start system is the answer. The 2015 Jeep Cherokee and 200 Chrysler's engines, the Pentastar and Tigershark, are receiving a bit of a pick me up with the system while the Chrysler remains a 4 cylinder and the Cherokee remains a V6.
The system works through a motor which is said to be able to start a vehicle in a third of a second. It detects when the vehicle is coming to a stop and shuts it off. Then, when the driving lifts a foot from the break the car turns back on with all of the accessories intact due to a powerful battery.
